You can't have a cake and you definitely can't eat it!

Maalini loves to do anything but her normal chores. Study for school, do home work, or practice music. But she is ready to take on any other project and more the messier the better as far as she is concerned and during and at the end of these projects, the area looks like a war zone!

Some of the projects she has worked on are hand knitting which spawned a club, Knitters Not Quitters. Making placement mats for dining table, making drinks for people, and baking. More messy the activity greater is her pleasure and nothing can be as messy as baking a cake.

This particular cake was baked a few months ago and I must say it looks very beautiful and scrumptious. My mouth watered at the sight of this cake. I was ready to dig in when Jannavi told me that it is not for us. Furthermore she told me I didn't need the extra calories and associated poundage and instead took it all to work!

I have heard the phrase "You can't have your cake and eat it". In my house it is more of "You can't have a cake and you definitely can't eat it"!
